Dr. Remington has served as one of our directors since October 1996. Dr. Remington currently serves and has served as Professor Department of Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine and as Chairman of the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the Research Institute of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation for nearly four decades. In addition Dr. Remington is a consultant for leading pharmaceutical companies with regard to antibiotic research and development and has served on numerous editorial boards of medical journals. He is a past President of the Infectious Disease Society of America. Dr. Remington is a nationally recognized authority in the field of infectious disease medicine and received the Gold Medal from the Royal College of Physicians London England in 1999 and the 1996 Bristol Award of the Infectious Disease Society of America. |
