Jack counsels clients on workers’ compensation law and employment litigation. He has extensive experience representing state funded employers and self insured employers in workers’ compensation injury and occupational disease cases. Jack has administrative, trial and appellate experience handling intentional torts and other employment-related issues for both publicly and privately-held companies. Jack was honored as an Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star by Law and Politics/Cincinnati Magazine in 2005 and 2006. He is an active member of the Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations and on January 1, 2005 became an Ohio State Bar Association Board Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law. Jack serves as e-coordinator for the Cleveland Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section. He is a member of the Solon Chamber of Commerce, Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society and Deak Lodge Knights of Pithias. Graduating from the Emory University School of Law, Jack was honored with American Jurisprudence Awards in both Secured Transactions and Appellate Litigation. He was employed previously with Ziegler, Metzger & Miller as a litigation associate and worked in the Ohio Attorney General’s office as an assistant attorney general in the Workers’ Compensation Defense Section and the Health and Human Services Section. He joined Calfee in 2003. |
