Jack R. Blair became Chairman of the Board of Directors of DJO Incorporated in July, 2002. Mr. Blair became director of the company on January 30, 2002, and has served in various capacities with Smith & Nephew, a leading medical device company, as well as with Richards Medical Company, which was acquired by Smith & Nephew in 1986. Most recently, he was a consultant to Smith & Nephew after serving from 1986 to 1998 as group president of Smith & Nephew's North and South America and Japan operations, with responsibilities including the Bracing and Support Systems division. While at Richards Medical Company from 1980 to 1986, Mr. Blair served first as president of Richards' International Division then as president of the company. Prior to that, he was vice president of planning, business development and marketing for the American Hospital Supply Corporation's International Division. Mr. Blair is also on the board of NuVasive, Inc., a San Diego-based spinal endoscopy firm.
Mr. Blair holds an M.B.A. in finance from the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.A. in political science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. |
