Izzy Feldman brings over 40 years experience in the Federal IT marketplace. He has over ten years experience as a Senior IT Manager for the Government, including positions at HEW (now HHS), USPS and HUD. In 1977 Mr. Feldman was elected Chairman of the Inter-Agency Committee for ADP (IAC/ADP), which represented over 80 Governmental entities to coordinate the effective use of Government-wide IT procurement. In addition, he was appointed to serve on the Presidential Reorganization Project (PRP) to modernize the use of IT in the Federal Government in the Carter Administration.
Mr. Feldman was the Founder Government Computer News (GCN), the first IT publication dedicated exclusively the Federal IT marketplace. GCN was successful in building a large and loyal subscriber base of 120,000 and was ultimately acquired by Ziff Davis in 1986. Mr. Feldman was instrumental in the formation and was the founding Chairman of The Industry Advisory Council (IAC), a trade association of approximately 600 corporate members that provide information resources, management products and services to the Federal Government. Today he serves as IAC's Chairman Emeritus.
Mr. Feldman received numerous awards, including: an honorary Doctorate from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, the Einstein award from the American Technion Society and was awarded the "TOP 100" Award from FCW. He has also served on numerous Advisory Boards and Board of Director, including Advisory Boards : UMUC (University of Maryland University College), the Tower Club, Liquid Machines -LLC, CES/Gov 2007, and the Centech Group ; Board of Directors for WETA (Public TV ), US-IBEX (US Israel Business Exchange) , and The Israel Bonds , DC Chapter.
Mr. Feldman received a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering - Cum Laude, from the Technion, and a M.Sc. in Industrial Management (MBA equivalent) from the Sloan School for Management at MIT. He studied advanced Computer courses at the Harvard Computer Center, Northeastern University, UCLA and the University of Michigan. |
