Mr. Irwin Much was a Remedy licensee for a 10-year period beginning in 1991. His business focused on some of the largest contingent staffing users in Memphis, Nashville, and Atlanta. In 2002, he sold his business interests to Remedy and continued to consult for the commercial side of the company on a part-time basis.
After Select Personnel Services acquired Remedy Intelligent Staffing in Summer 2006, Mr. Much returned full-time to manage the integration and growth of the company’s growing Franchise Division.
During the 1980s, Mr. Much was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hartmann Luggage. Under his leadership, the company had record-breaking sales as well as profits. Some of Mr. Much’s marketing accomplishments included creating an international sales and distribution network, becoming sole supplier to the world’s most exclusive retailers, and growing the brand’s recognition and dominance in the luxury goods market.
As a domestic manufacturer with 700 employees and three manufacturing facilities in Tennessee, Hartmann had to continually hone its production and distribution processes to remain competitive against a flood of lower-priced imports. Mr. Much led re-engineering initiatives that kept the company in the forefront of change.
In the 1970s, Mr. Much began his career selling for Levi Strauss & Co. After a series of rapid promotions, he became Levi’s General Sales Manager and directed the domestic efforts of national sales and brand managers and a world-class sales organization. Mr. Much was instrumental in the development of the Docker’s brand and acted as its divisional General Manager.
Mr. Much attended the University of Illinois, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. |
