IIoannis Makris has served as our Chief Financial Officer since June 2008. Mr. Makris has approximately 15 years of experience in finance and shipping. Previously he served as a Banking Executive at Cardiff Marine Inc. one of the largest Greek-based shipping companies.
Prior to that Mr. Makris was a Finance and Accounting Manager at Niki Shipping Company Inc. a private shipping company based in Athens. He began his career at Ernst & Young where he was an auditor and a consultant from 1993 to 1996.
Mr. Makris received a BS in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MS in Economics from Birkbeck College in London. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant. |
