Ian was a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in private practice before joining GAB Robins in 1982 as an Adjuster with specialist responsibility for building and construction claims including Contractors All Risks, Subsidence, Professional Indemnity, Public Liability and major property losses.
In 1988 Ian became Manager of the Brighton office, appointed Regional Commercial Director in 1993, and in 1995 became Regional Service Centre Director for the South East. During this period Ian was the major loss team leader for several high profile losses in both the private and public sector.
In the year 2000 Ian was appointed Area Director with operational responsibility across all Loss Adjusting product lines in the South East and in 2003 appointed Regional Director for the South, covering 5 specialist divisions, across 7 branches, including a new Customer Service Centre in Brighton .
In 2004, Ian was appointed UK Field Operations Director, where he currently has operational responsibility for all UK property field Adjusters, comprising both Commercial and Personal lines across 5 regions. Ian is also a member of the UK Executive Management Team.
