Ian Whiting is responsible for defining and executing the company's backbone, switch, director, distance extension, and management application strategy. This division includes the company's traditional family of SAN solutions. Whiting joined Brocade in 2001 as Executive Director of Partner Sales EMEA and was promoted to Vice President of EMEA and Latin America, where he was responsible for Brocade sales operations, growth, and profitability throughout the region. Prior to Brocade, Whiting was Director of Compaq StorageWorks EMEA. He was also Vice President EMEA for networking hardware company NetWorth and held executive management positions at Canadian software company Cognos Inc. and UK networking distributor Data Translation. Whiting has a BS in French and German from the University College Swansea and an MS in European Business Studies from the Cranfield School of Management |
