Ian Hudson is president - DuPont Europe, Middle East & Africa, and president - Du Pont de Nemours International SA Geneva. A former European business director of ICI's Polyester Films business, he joined DuPont in 1998, when the company acquired that business, and became regional director Europe for DuPont Polyester Films. After spending 5 years in Wilmington, Del., as global business director - Sorona®/Bio-PDO™ in the DuPont Bio-Based Materials business, he relocated to Geneva, Switzerland, in 2004, when he was named regional director - DuPont Advanced Fiber Systems and DuPont Nonwovens. He was named to his current position in April 2006.
After graduating from Oxford University with an MA degree in French and German, Mr. Hudson's career with ICI spanned 18 years, during which time he held a number of commercial and business management roles, including assignments in France and in the United States, as well as extensive travel in Asia.
Mr. Hudson is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Association), chairman of the Industrial Biotech Council and member of the Board of EuropaBio (European Association of bio industries), member of the Board of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Foundation Board of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD). |
