Professor Gust is a former Research and Development Director of CSL Limited, and was the foundation Director of the MacFarlane Burnet Centre for Medical Research. Since his retirement from CSL, Professor Gust has been appointed a Professorial Fellow in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Melbourne. He serves as a scientific adviser to the Bill and Melinda Gates Children's Vaccine Program, the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, The International Vaccine Institute, the Paediatric Dengue Initiative and the World Health Organisation. He is a non-executive director of Biota Holdings Limited, Biota Inc, Opal Therapeutics Pty Ltd and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Genocea. |
