Ian Cross is a senior level marketing professional with over twenty years of diversified experience in the global information technology, publishing, and retailing industries. He has specific expertise in marketing, advertising, communications, and product and business development in North America, Europe and Far East. He is currently a Principal with Eyes Wide Open Marketing, a marketing consulting firm specializing in working with emerging companies in the areas of market strategy, research and communication planning.
In addition to his consulting activities, Ian is a professor in the business school at Bentley College in Waltham, MA. Bentley is the first business university in the U.S. and ranked by Business 2.0 as one of "The 20 Tech-Savviest Business Schools" and U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges 2002 ranked Bentley among the nation's top Undergraduate Business Programs.
Previously he held senior marketing and communications positions with major corporations and start-ups including Wang Global, Thomson & Thomson, CGI, Kodak, Yourdon, VNU, Insyde Software and Turn On Media. While at Thomson & Thomson he helped the company increase revenues by 25% and at Wang he managed a $20 million global corporate advertising and integrated marketing communications budget.
Ian was educated in the United Kingdom at Leeds University and London. He is a Member of the UK Charter Institute of Marketing, the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX), the Boston Interactive Media Association (BIMA), and IdeaSphere.
Ian's primary role with the Pixel Bridge Advisory Board is to help the firm develop world-class analytical and research capabilities. His secondary role is to work with Pixel Bridge management to formulate an effective differentiation strategy. |
