Ian Muress is CEO EMEA Region and enjoys an unsurpassed intimacy of knowledge about claims handling having been in the industry for nearly 30 years.
Ian was appointed as CEO Crawford & Company UK & Ireland in 2002 since which time the UK business has experienced a resurgence not only as a pre-eminent claims management business but as a growing organisation for which talented people aspire to work.
Ian now sees his role as a multi-faceted one representing the EMEA business across more than 30 countries whilst developing and supporting key client relationships. Above all the priority is to drive strategy that furthers Crawford's overall ambitions whilst delivering against high client service expectations. A major part of delivering success depends on getting the right team in place working to an unambiguous and declared strategy.
In January 2006 Ian was tasked with leading the business' further growth ambitions across the entire EMEA Region effectively bringing together the former UK and Continental European Middle East and Africa regions. He regards this as an unprecedented opportunity to develop the business across a region with a population of some 500 million and a range of attractive insurance markets at different stages of maturity. |
