Captain Ian T. Blackley was appointed Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of OSG Ship Management (UK) Ltd. in September 2005. In this role Captain Blackley is responsible for the technical management of OSG’s crude oil and LNG fleets.
Since joining the Company in 1991 Captain Blackley has held numerous positions including Port Captain Director of Group Purchasing Assistant Treasurer and since January 2005 Vice President Treasury. His treasury responsibilities included managing OSG’s global banking relationships the negotiation and management of debt facilities and other investment projects. Captain Blackley led the Company’s strategic study of the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) business in 2004 and is a board member of OSG Nakilat Corporation OSG’s LNG joint venture with Qatar Gas Transport Company.
Captain Blackley began his seagoing career in 1971 with Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O) serving as Captain from 1987 to 1991.
Captain Blackley holds a diploma in Nautical Science from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies and holds Master Mariner Class 1 license. |
