Iain Melville is CEO of Reed Business Information's largest subsidiary, Reed Construction Data. Reed Construction Data (RCD) is one of the country's leading providers of quality project news, building product information and cost data for the global construction industry. With more than 20 years experience managing the prosperity, growth and development of Internet, data, publication and event businesses, Iain joined RCD from sister company Reed Business Information U.K., where he was a Managing Director. His responsibilities included leading the International Chemical and Aerospace markets and the U.K. Social Care and Hospitality sectors. In addition, Iain carried responsibility for Reed Business Information U.K. strategy, acquisitions and innovation, as well as Internet growth and editorial liaison and development. Before joining Reed Business Information U.K., Iain was Executive Director for CMP Information. Other roles in which he has served include Emerging Market Development Director for Blenheim Group plc, European Managing Director for IIR, and a variety of senior positions during an eight-year stint with Reed Exhibitions. A graduate of Lancaster University, Iain is a founding board member of the UK Association of Online Publishers (UKAOP) and a frequent speaker and facilitator at UK-based online industry events. |
