A lifelong Dallas resident, Hunter attended Southern Methodist University where he was very active in the Student Government Association and received numerous academic honors before earning a B.S. in Economics and Political Science. Hunter then accepted a position with Morgan Stanley and worked in both the New York and London offices, focusing on corporate finance and commodity trading. He later returned to Dallas and now serves as President of Hunt Power, L.P., and Vice President of Hunt Oil. He is also the President of Sharyland Utilities, the first start-up electric distribution utility company since the late 1960's. Hunter is an advocate for community service, primarily supporting academic institutions by serving on the Board of Directors for the SMU School of Engineering and the 21st Century Council. Hunter became involved with T Bank because he feels that consolidation in the industry has left banking impersonal and customers unfulfilled. He believes that a community bank has a better understanding of the local economic environment and can better serve its needs. |
