Hugh joined the BTS Partners' Board of Directors, as chairman, in September 2004. As president of the privately-held investment group Boston Technology Holdings, LLC, Hugh assembled the investor team and led the most recent round of funding in BTS Partners in the Fall of 2004. This team included McLaughlin family members as well as a variety of influential investors in the Boston area. Hugh has a long history of building successful businesses in New England. As a principle of Sullivan McLaughlin companies, he has played an integral role in Sullivan & McLaughlin's business and development, especially in the technology sector. Prior to this Hugh was the founder and President of a successful communications company that ultimately grew to become the largest in New England and the backbone of SullyMac's Communications division. Hugh holds a Bachelor of Science from Norwich University Military Academy along with a broad array of electrical and telecommunications certifications. He has served on the Board of Directors, and in a variety of other capacities, for the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). And he is active in a number of community service, charitable, and philanthropic programs in the greater Boston area. |
