Hubert T. Greenway, M.D., was Fellowship trained by Frederic E. Mohs, M.D. at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He was the director of the Mohs Surgery Unit at Scripps Clinic and has performed over 12,000 Mohs Surgery cases for skin cancers of all types. As the Director of Cutaneous Oncology and the Melanoma Center, he removed a significant number of melanomas each year, coordinated further evaluations including sentinel lymph node dissection and adjunctive therapy such as interferon and vaccines as well as follow-up care. He is active in clinical trials and research and was the first physician to treat basal cell carcinoma with injected intralesional alfa 2-b interferon as an alternative to surgery. He has fellowship trained a number of physicians in the USA and abroad and frequently lectures at physician medical education seminars. He is currently secretary for the American College of Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. In February 2003, Dr. Greenway was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement with Scripps Health Foundation. He currently is and has been listed in "The Best Doctors in America," chosen by recommendations from physicians throughout the country. He is the author of over 50 publications, including two textbooks, and is currently the Editor in Chief for the Yearbook of Dermatologic Surgery (1997 Ed.). |
