Howard Wenger serves as vice president, Global Business Units. He has over 20 years of professional experience in solar photovoltaic power. Prior experience includes AstroPower Inc. (acquired by General Electric), where Mr. Wenger served as Vice President, North America. During his tenure, AstroPower's North American revenue grew 2500 percent over a 5-year period becoming a leader in the on-grid solar power market. In 1993, Mr. Wenger co-founded Pacific Energy Group, an energy consulting firm noted for defining and implementing public policies and legislation to mainstream solar power. In addition, he worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Company in both research and strategic planning, and served as an invited researcher at the Ben-Gurion National Solar Energy Center in Israel, working with some of the world's leading solar scientists.
During his career, Mr. Wenger has authored dozens of papers, software programs and tools addressing various aspects of the energy business. He has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. |
