Mr. Wenger has more than 20 years of professional experience in solar photovoltaic power and currently serves as vice president Global Business Units for SunPower Corp. He also holds the title of executive vice president of SunPower's PowerLight Subsidiary and was a member of PowerLight's Board of Directors prior to the combination with SunPower. Earlier experience includes AstroPower Inc. (acquired by General Electric) where Mr. Wenger served as vice president North America. In 1993 he co-founded Pacific Energy Group an energy consulting firm noted for defining and implementing public policies and legislation to mainstream solar power. In addition Mr. Wenger worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Company in both research and strategic planning and served as an invited researcher at the Ben-Gurion National Solar Energy Center in Israel working with some of the world's leading solar scientists.
During his career Mr. Wenger has authored dozens of papers software programs and tools addressing various aspects of the energy business. He has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara and an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. |
