Howard Silver's broad background includes responsibility for business units, product management and marketing, as well as product development and support, encompassing a range of engineering and leadership roles. Prior to joining X1 Technologies, Silver was VP of Product Development at ZANTAZ, where he directed budgeting, product roadmaps, growth planning, and oversaw product development, QA and Program Management. At Veritas, Silver was VP/GM, Appliance Software Division, responsible for all product development, program management, OEM and embedded relationships. He previously held the position of VP, Cross Products Operations Group, where he led the engineering program management of strategic partners including Dell, Compaq, EMC, Hitachi, IBM, Oracle and Sun. Silver has also held the positions of VP of Engineering at General Automation and executive positions at AST Research, Forward Technology, Andrew Corporation, Control Data Corporation, Pertec Computer Corporation and Boeing Computer Services. Mr. Silver holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Kent State University and an MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. |
