Howard Sachs began his career as a Certified Public Accountant at S.D. Leidesdorf and Company which later became Ernst & Young. After leaving S.D. Leidesdorf, Howard was Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Venture Industries, a textile manufacturer. From the late 70's through the mid 80's he was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Restaurant Systems, Inc., a publicly held Wendy’s franchisee. RSI owned and managed 54 Wendy’s and was also a developer and supplier of proprietary restaurant computer software. In December 1985, the company merged with Wendy’s International and Howard became Vice President and Board Director for WGC Foods, a Wendy's franchisee. Previously Howard was Director, shareholder and Financial Advisor for ExCel Corporation while simultaneously holding a position as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Triangle Management an owner and operator of 103 Wendy's franchises in Seattle, Portland and New York City. He sold those markets in 1989 and 1996. He is a former Financial Consultant for Shoney's Inc. as well as a Director and shareholder of Innovative Restaurant Concepts, Inc. where he acted as financial advisor for the company with respect to the sale to Applebee's International, Inc., a $70 million dollar transaction. Presently, Howard is President and Director of Nyltec, Inc., a fiber producer - developmental patents and a Director of Lighting Products, Inc. which is a lighting products distributor to multi-family and commercial construction. He is Chairman of the Board for Killer Restaurants, LLC, a Director for Restaurant Technology, Inc. a provider of software to the restaurant industry as well as a Director of Comtrex Systems Corporation which is a hardware and software manufacturer. Howard is President of The National Conference on Soviet Jewry- a human rights advocacy and has served as the Atlanta Coordinator for the Freedom March. He also served as Co-Chair of Operation Exodus in Atlanta and was a member of the UJA Operation Exodus Committee. He is on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Federation of greater Atlanta and is the Treasurer for Jewish Home which is a nursing home in Atlanta, Georgia.. He is also Director, Secretary, Board Member and Executive Committee member of Golf Club of Georgia as well as the first Vice President of ORT World wide technical schools. He has been a board member of the American Jewish Committee, Jewish National Fund, and a member of the Board of Trustees and the Endowment Committee of Ahavath Achim Synagogue in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Sachs has a MBA, Fairleigh Dickinson University; and a BS in Accounting, Pennsylvania State University, Certified Public Accountant. |
