Mr. Derman joined Apria as senior vice president of human resources in December 2007. Prior to Apria, Howard worked at 99¢ Only Stores, a $1.1 billion, publicly-traded California-based retailer and multi-state operator of 250 stores. While serving as the Vice President of Human Resources, Howard was responsible for employee relations, recruiting, compensation, payroll, HRIS, organizational effectiveness and benefits. Prior to this, Howard held senior management positions in human resources and related functional areas for several private and public companies, including International Education Corporation, the parent company of several multi-site career training schools and NBTY, Inc. a leading global manufacturer and marketer of nutritional supplements. Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Purdue University. |
