Howard S. Ende is Of Counsel in the firm’s Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group, resident in the Princeton, New Jersey, office.
Howard focuses his practice on education, nonprofit corporate, government contracting, employment/discrimination/harassment, internal investigations and insurance/risk management. He has extensive experience in intellectual property, class action law suits and antitrust.
In General. Prior to joining Drinker Biddle, Howard served as general counsel at Princeton University from 1990 to 2001, and had been a member of the Princeton University administration since 1974. As the university’s general counsel and a member of the President’s Cabinet, he was responsible for all legal matters involving Princeton University, including oversight of the Office of General Counsel, retention of outside counsel, and providing legal counsel to the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.
Since leaving Princeton, Howard has counseled colleges and universities, and their presidents, president designates, and senior academic and administrative officers regarding employment matters. He has also spoken on presidential contract issues at numerous forums and seminars.
Howard has served as a trustee and/or officer for a number of nonprofit corporations and foundations including Brookhaven National Laboratory (Audit Committee); Princeton Adult School (treasurer; chair, Finance Committee); Mpala Research Trust (chairman); Mpala Wildlife Foundation (president); Fellowship in Prayer (president; chair, Executive Committee); Princeton-in-Africa (treasurer); Princeton Summer Theatre; US.ZA Education Initiative (in association with the University of Capetown); and the American Tort Reform Association.
Howard is a member of the Princeton Bar Association. |
