Experience:
Howard Roin's law practice emphasizes trial and appellate litigation involving commercial disputes. He has in-depth experience across a broad spectrum of commercial matters, such as consumer and business class actions; securities fraud; commodities fraud; employment termination and business separation (covenants not to compete, tortious interference, disclosure of confidential information, unfair competition); financial institutions and lender liability; contested acquisitions; bankruptcy disputes; First Amendment and media regulation; breach of contract; real estate transactions; zoning disputes; equipment leasing transactions; and trust and bond indentures.
Howard provides ongoing representation to a variety of industry-leading organizations, including Daimler Chrysler Services North America LLC and the State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 1981, Howard served as Special Assistant to The Honorable William H. Webster, Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation (1979-1981) and as Law Clerk to The Honorable George MacKinnon, US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (1978-1979).
