Howard H. Friedman ACAS MAAA is the Co-President of the Professional Liability Group and serves as the Group's Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Actuary. He is also a Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary of ProAssurance Corporation. Mr. Friedman joined one of the predecessor companies of ProAssurance Medical Assurance in 1996 and earlier responsibilities included serving as ProAssurance's chief financial officer from its inception in 2001 through March of 2005 and managing the company’s information systems and compliance functions merger and acquisition analysis and strategic planning. Prior to joining Medical Assurance he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with the P.I.E. Mutual Insurance Company (1990-1996) Vice President and Actuary of Medical Mutual Liability Insurance Society of Maryland (1983-1990) and Associate Actuary of Scor Reinsurance Company (1980-1983). Mr. Friedman is a graduate of The College of Insurance (NY) with a B.S. in Actuarial Science. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. |
