Mr. Iwrey's practice focuses on all aspects of antitrust, trade regulation and franchising law. His experience includes both litigation and counseling on mergers, joint ventures, dealer and franchise termination, tying, monopolization, price fixing, price discrimination and franchise disclosure and registration issues. He has represented clients from a number of industries, including health care, medical supplies, art, securities, fast food, motor sports, team sports, sporting goods, machine tools, computer hardware and software, automotive parts, automotive design, finance, toys, retailing, utilities and household products. Mr. Iwrey is a past Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan Antitrust, Franchising and Trade Regulation Section.
Mr. Iwrey also has extensive experience in trade secrets and non-compete matters, representing stockbrokers, securities firms and clients from a wide range of other industries in litigation and arbitration. Mr. Iwrey also is involved in the development of strategies for employment transition and the protection of trade secrets and negotiation of non-competition and confidentiality agreements.
Mr. Iwrey also has expertise in a number of regulatory areas, including Hart-Scott-Rodino, Exon-Florio and international premerger notifications, advertising, internet privacy, franchising, leasing, motor vehicle and equipment dealerships, warranties, consumer product safety, product pricing and labeling and sweepstakes.
Mr. Iwrey has represented clients in trial and appellate courts throughout the United States and in administrative and investigative matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Treasury Department, U.S. Department of Defense, European Union and a number of state attorneys general.
