Hilda A. Manuel joined the Company in March 2005 as its Senior Vice President for Native American Affairs and Chief Compliance Officer. From February 2003 through December 2004, Ms. Manuel served as deputy general counsel for the Gila River Indian Community, where she supervised general employees and attorneys with respect to civil and criminal matters. From May 2000 through March 2002, Ms. Manuel served as special counsel to the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson, LLP, where she oversaw business development with Indian tribes and Indian organizations, along with supervising the management of cases for Indian clients. From October 1994 through April 2000, Ms. Manuel served as the Deputy Commissioner of the Bureau of Indian Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Interior. |
