Hernan Serrano is a Director in the Restructuring & Turnaround Group. He has over 18 years of experience in bankruptcy, trustee/receivership services, restructuring, turnarounds and financial investigations. Mr. Serrano has experience in many phases of U.S. and foreign bankruptcy services. He has assisted in the collection of millions of dollars of assets, the development, negotiation and implementation of numerous plans of reorganization, participated as a crisis manager/corporate recovery officer, handled employee management issues as well as valuation and liquidation of inventory, real estate and other assets. He has also acted as a trustee and receiver in numerous cases, including actions brought by the Federal Trade Commission. Mr. Serrano s past assignments have included Mystic Tank Lines, Inc., Hancock Fabrics, Inc., Better Budget Financial Services, Inc., Everyday Convenience Stores, Caribbean Petroleum Corporation, Kent International Corporation, Barrier Motor Fuel, Lois USA Advertising, Inc. and Starter Corporation. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Serrano was a Director with Grant Thornton, LLP. Mr. Serrano earned his MBA and BA from Adelphi University. He is a Certified Management Consultant and a founding board member and President of the Long Island Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (2007). Mr. Serrano is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the New York State Society of Accountants. |
