Herb Gerson focuses his practice on managing all areas related to traditional labor and employment issues. He devotes much of his practice to counseling clients on avoiding employment discrimination claims and developing a positive work environment.
He is admitted to the Tennessee and U.S. District Court, Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Tennessee; the U.S. District Court, Western and Eastern Districts of Arkansas; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Mississippi; the U.S. District Court, Central District of Illinois; U.S. Court of Appeals, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 11th Circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Herb has written numerous articles on labor and employment matters, is a frequent speaker on labor and employment matters and co-chaired the Labor and Employment Committee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association. He is also editor of the Tennessee Employers Desk Manual and the Arkansas Employers Desk Manual.
Herb is a graduate of Leadership Memphis and a member of the Advisory Board to the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Subcommittees of the American, Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations. Herb is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was named a leading labor and employment lawyer by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He also is a member of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
