Herb Scales is a Managing Director of WAVERLY PARTNERS, based in the firm's Salt Lake City, Utah, office. Herb's perspective on executive search is based on his general management background, with 20 + years of P & L assignments in both profitable and turnaround companies. This experience enables him to be effective and objective when evaluating leadership, general management and technical business skills.
Herb has successfully completed mid-, senior-, President and CEO level searches assignments across most functions in many industries including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, consumer/industrial durables and technology hardware to name a few. His clients include American Standard, Bosch Siemens, The HON Company, Electrolux, Vesper Corporation, Continental Materials, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, DDi Corporation, Fluidmaster and M-Systems.
Prior to WAVERLY PARTNERS, Herb was Executive Vice President of Sales for Iomega Corporation, $1.5 billion removable data storage company. Serving at the Officer level the last 10 years, he has held senior executive sales, marketing and general management assignments with multi national companies such as General Electric, Whirlpool, and Philips. In addition to his extensive sales, marketing and general management experience, Herb has personally led efforts in strategy development, planning, new organizational structure, talent/skill assessment, metrics and execution.
