Mr. Williamson has a long history in advertising publishing and media sales in addition to working with film and television production companies. Mr. Williamson joined iMedia in October of 2005 as President of Newspaper Syndication where he established partnerships with major market metropolitan newspapers in Dallas New York and Los Angeles. He was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in October 2006 and assumed the Chairman of the Board position in February 2007.
Prior to iMedia Mr. Williamson worked at the Los Angeles Times beginning in 1997. Mr. Williamson’s initial duties included developing direct mail and preprint programs for automotive manufacturers and dealerships. He later was promoted to manage retail regional advertising for Los Angeles. Mr. Williamson was promoted to major accounts retail manager in 2003 the same year he was named the Los Angeles Times Manager of the Year. Prior to accepting the offer with iMedia Mr. Williamson had been appointed Director of Retail Advertising and was responsible for managing approximately 20% of the Los Angeles Times advertising revenue. His client responsibility included 150+ major retail accounts.
From 1992 to 1996 Mr. Williamson worked in advertising sales at Charter Media where he worked to develop a new digital display channel: Marketplace 1. In 1989 Mr. Williamson became involved with film and television production where he worked for Buena Vista Entertainment (Disney) Chanticleer and Toyon Bay Productions as well as the Agency for The Performing Arts. Mr. Williamson graduated with a BA in Film Media Studies from the University Of California Santa Barbara. |
