Henry J. (Hank) Cardello currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Source Food Technology, Inc., a developer and marketer of nutritionally advanced oils for the food industry. Mr. Cardello brings an extensive background in the food and beverage industry including positions as President of Sunkist Soft Drinks, Inc., Vice President of Marketing for Canada Dry, Director of Marketing for Coca-Cola USA, and in Brand Management for Anheuser-Busch (Michelob) and General Mills (Betty Crocker Cake Mixes, Bisquik, BaCo*s, New Ventures). In 2000, Mr. Cardello was identified as a Top 10 Innovator in the Functional Foods industry. Earlier, Hank founded Marketing Ventures of America, Inc. ( MVA ), a unique venture marketing company whose purpose was to source, develop and commercialize innovative consumer businesses. As part of MVA’s CEO-on-demand services, Mr. Cardello performed functions as a Chief Executive Officer for several emerging companies. He has also forged ventures and/or alliances with corporations including Novartis, Wyeth-Ayerst, Tropicana, Hormel, Quaker Oats, Pillsbury, Campbell Soup, Bayer Consumer Care, Lipton/Lawry’s and Nestlé. Mr. Cardello has been a featured speaker at several new business and industry forums and has served as an Executive Fellow for the American Marketing Association. He has been a director for both the National Executive Committee of the Wharton Alumni Association and the Wharton Club of Atlanta. Most recently, he has sat on the Board of the College of Business at James Madison University. Mr. Cardello’s undergraduate degree was awarded Magna Cum Laude in materials science and metallurgy from Lehigh University, and he holds an MBA in marketing from the Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania. |
