Henry Owsley has been a partner of Gordian since 1988. He has been involved in many of the firm's engagements, including AmeriServe, Ben & Jerry's, Chiquita Brands, Federal Communications Commission, IES, LTV, MiniScribe, Mississippi Chemical Corporation, Morrison Knudsen, Office of Thrift Supervision, Ogden Corporation, Olympia & York, Phar-Mor, Safety-Kleen, State of Vermont, Tracor and Zale. He has extensive experience in a variety of financing, advisory and merger transactions, as well as in expert witness engagements. Mr. Owsley is co-author of "The Role of the Investment Banker", Bankruptcy Business Acquisitions, LexMed Publishing, 1998, which details various strategies and tactics used in distressed M&A activities. Mr. Owsley has co-authored a major treatise, Distressed Investment Banking: To the Abyss and Back, (click here to go to book's website) published in May of 2005 by Beard Books LLC. He is consistently named one of the ten leading investment bankers involved in bankruptcies and financial restructurings by The Deal. He was recently profiled in The Deal.Previously, he was with Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he founded such firm's Workout Group. While at Goldman, he was also a founding member of its Technology Group. Mr. Owsley received a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, summa cum laude, from Princeton University and a Master of Science degree from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His honors included Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Xi. |
