Henry C. Joyner was named Senior Vice President Planning in January 2000. He directs the company’s strategic planning activities including scheduling, revenue management, corporate real estate, fleet planning, airline alliances, and international regulatory affairs. Previously, Joyner served as Vice President of Marketing Planning.
Joyner joined the company in 1980 as a Financial Analyst and moved into the Marketing Department in 1982 and was involved in the development of the AAdvantage frequent flyer program, the industry’s first. He became Managing Director of Airline Planning in 1987 and was named Vice President of Personnel Resources in 1989.
Joyner graduated from Louisiana State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He attended graduate school at the University of Chicago earning a Master of Arts degree in Far Eastern Languages and Civilizations in 1978 and a Master's of Business Administration degree in 1980.
Joyner currently serves on the International Board of Visitors for the Texas Christian University Neeley School of Business and on the Board of Visitors for Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. He is also active in local church programs. |
