Mr. Babb has served as Senior Vice President - Chief Legal Officer and Secretary since the merger of DIMON Incorporated and Standard Commercial Corporation in May 2005 having previously served as Senior Vice President - Public Affairs General Counsel and Secretary of Standard from April 2004.
Mr. Babb joined Standard in December 1997 as Vice President - Public Affairs and General Counsel was appointed Secretary in June 1998 and was appointed Senior Vice President for Legal in April 2004. Prior to joining Standard Mr. Babb practiced law for 28 years including 27 years as a partner with a law firm in Wilson North Carolina. |
