Harvey Krauss is Chairman of the firm's Taxation Department, and also serves as Chairman of the firm's Trusts and Estates Department. His specialties include all phases of tax planning and tax disputes, estate planning and administration, corporate and partnership law and the drafting and negotiation of complex legal documents. Mr. Krauss is admitted to practice law in the state of New York. He received a B.A. degree in accounting from C.C.N.Y. (1958) and a law degree from St. John's University Law School (1961), where he was a member of the Law Review and participated in the U.S. Attorney's Honors Program. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (1967), and began his legal career with the Internal Revenue Service. In 1963, he became associated with the law firm of Phillips, Nizer, Benjamin, Krim & Ballon, and thereafter joined the law firm of Forsythe, McGovern, Pearson & Nash, where he became a partner in 1969. Mr. Krauss became a member of Snow Becker Krauss P.C. in 1978. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association. |
