Harvey B. Cash has served as a Director of the Company since April 1994 and is Ciena’s lead independent director. Mr. Cash is a general partner of InterWest Partners, a venture capital firm in Menlo Park, California that he joined in 1985. Mr. Cash serves on the board of directors of First Acceptance Corp., i2 Technologies Inc., Silicon Laboratories, Inc., Argonaut Group, Inc. and Staktek Holdings, Inc. Mr. Cash received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and M.B.A. from Western Michigan University. His term as a Director expires in 2008. |
