Harrison Yelton is the Vice President of Satellite Systems and the business unit lead for the Small Satellite division at SpaceDev Inc. Mr. Yelton has more than 25 years of aerospace experience in various technical and management positions. Prior to joining SpaceDev, Mr. Yelton served at BAE, Raytheon, Boeing, TRW, and Aerojet. His experience includes building and launching four Defense Support Program Satellites, and integration, test, and launch activities on both the Titan IV and Space Shuttle programs. While at Boeing, Mr. Yelton was a mission manager for Delta launch vehicles and contributed substantially to Boeing’s satellite development work, and ground station engineering/integration. His experience also includes a variety of IMINT and SIGINT programs (space segment and ground segment activities).
Mr. Yelton's service in the US Air Force and US Air Force Reserves included work in cryptography and satellite communications. His assignments included NSA Headquarters, Yokota Air Base Japan, and Los Angeles Air Force Base. Harrison holds multiple degrees that include electronics and engineering, and he has an MBA from National University La Jolla, California. |
