Harris F. Koenig serves as Chief Executive Officer for Alvarado Hospital. Mr. Koenig returns to Alvarado Hospital where he served as Chief Operating Officer from 1995-1998. As CEO, he works with the Board of Directors to set strategic vision for the medical center. He oversees operations, physician relations, campus development, and has overall leadership responsibility for Alvarado Hospital (306 beds) that includes the San Diego Rehabilitation Institute. He has more than 20 years of diverse healthcare experience with progressive management positions including CEO of three Southern California hospitals. Mr. Koenig has a strong background in strategic planning as well as program and facility development. Mr. Koenig earned a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from George Mason College, University of Virginia. |
