Mr. Woolfolk provides us with over twenty years of project and business management experience working in various real estate ventures. He has managed and financed both small and large multi-million dollar projects. In addition he has a professional football and media background that involves strong communication skills in both oral and written presentations to developers and local government entities.
Over the past 10 years, Mr. Woolfolk developed residential lots for several large builders including US Home, Gateway Homes, Texas Colonial, and the nation's largest builder KB Home. His real estate experience began in 1985 as an independent owner/operator of single-family and multi-family rental properties in Houston. In 1992, as co-owner of New Choice Builders, Mr. Woolfolk began building affordable single-family housing in Houston's revitalized communities. In 1994, he embarked on a related venture with Home Ownership Partners, Inc., to build affordable housing for residents of Fort Bend County, Texas, a burgeoning Houston suburb. Mr. Woolfolk solicited and procured the largest HUD grant given to date by that county for affordable housing assistance.
As a consultant for the largest minority owned real estate firm in the nation, he was directly responsible for development of multi-family and single-family projects, affordable housing development and rehabilitation projects. He is experienced in locating and procuring new projects and in establishing and maintaining relationships with public and private sector funding sources.
After graduating from The University of Michigan as an All-American running back, Mr. Woolfolk went on to play seven years in the National Football League with the New York Giants, Houston Oilers and Detroit Lions. He was a 1st round draft choice and NFC Rookie of The Year in 1982, also being selected on the All-Rookie Team. Today, he still holds many franchise records with the teams he played for. Until recently broken, Woolfolk once held the NFL record for most rushing attempts in a game.
He holds a degree in education from the University of Michigan, with postgraduate studies in Marketing and Finance. He is married with two sons. |
