Harold Stinger Harold Stinger is an accomplished engineering professional and entrepreneur. Mr. Stinger has over 37 years experience in systems engineering, specializing in satellite telemetry reduction systems, photographic laboratory processors, and communications equipment. Prior to founding SGT, in 1994, Mr. Stinger held progressively responsible management positions in the engineering field with companies that included Computer Sciences Corporation and Lockheed Martin. He has held key positions on numerous NASA missions, beginning in the late 1960s, and continues to provide guidance and insight to SGT's engineers supporting NASA projects underway today. Since 1994, Mr. Stinger has been President and CEO of SGT. SGT is a competitive aerospace corporation in the Federal Government contracting arena, and is a State of Maryland certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). SGT's impressive growth over its eleven year history is a testament to the technical leadership, management expertise, and personnel skills of Mr. Stinger and his partner Dr. Kamal Ghaffarian. Mr. Stinger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and an Honorary Doctorate from Capitol College. Mr. Stinger is the past President of the Maryland Space Business Roundtable. He is on the board of Trustees at the Capitol College in Laurel, Maryland, and on the Board of Directors at the Washington Bible College & Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham, Maryland. Harold is a member of NASA s Minority Business Resource Advisory Committee and is the Committee Chairman of the Aerospace Sector for the Maryland Governor's Workforce Investment Board. He is a member of the Maryland Math and Science Coalition. Harold is Director of the Washington Section of the IEEE, and is a member of numerous other professional organizations. |
