With more than 20 years of experience in large-scale data center and IT operations management, Harold Montano serves as Absolute Performance's vice president of operations and is responsible for driving the delivery of proactive managed services to customers worldwide. Montano is an IT operations process expert. He has provided IT process guidance based on the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) model to a variety of large-scale IT organizations and has planned and conducted a variety of SAS-70 IT operations process audits. Prior to joining Absolute Performance, Montano founded and managed an IT services company that developed enterprise management software solutions and provided industry best practices IT process consulting services. In his previous role as Director for World Wide Qwest Hosting Operations, Montano managed a team of 120 IT professionals and led centralized network and Web hosting operations for 12 international and domestic hosting cyber centers. Highlights of his 15-year career with US West Communications, Inc. include: planning and executing the Automation & Enterprise Management Systems Y2K project; managing the creation and implementation of the original US West "Bridge" for centralized network operations; coordinating data center Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity; and organizing infrastructure support for 40,000+ desktops and Unisys, Tandem, and Unix systems. A two-time President’s Club recipient for innovations at US West, Montano received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. |
