Mr. Flanagan has an active insurance coverage practice in the context of maritime operations, oil and gas drilling and production, construction, products liability, personal injury and commercial litigation.He also has substantial experience in contract drafting and litigation for oil and gas producers, casualty litigation, commercial litigation, and U.S. Customs compliance. He is frequently called upon to investigate casualties, and advises clients on matters involving well blowouts, explosions, drilling rig and vessel accidents, offshore contracts, and various other oilfield tort claims.In the area of construction law, he has extensive experience drafting construction contracts and litigating construction disputes for contractors and property owners.For the past eight years, Mr. Flanagan has taught insurance law at Tulane Law School. His outstanding service to the school was recognized when he was awarded the 2003 Monte M. Lemann Distinguished Teaching Award. Mr. Flanagan, who speaks fluent Spanish, joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1985 and continues to serve today as a colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve. |
