Hari N. Nair executive vice president and managing director Europe South America and India is responsible for all aspects of the company's original equipment and aftermarket businesses in these regions. Mr. Nair directs these businesses from Tenneco's European headquarters in Brussels Belgium
Prior to his present position Mr. Nair served as senior vice president and managing director for the international group which included operations in Asia South America and the Japanese original equipment business worldwide. From 1997 to 1999 Nair was based in Singapore as the managing director for Asia with responsibility for all operations and development projects in the region.
Mr. Nair joined Tenneco Automotive in 1987 as manager of business planning focusing on the company's early international expansion projects.In 1989 he joined Case Corporation (at that time a Tenneco Inc. company) as manager of marketing and business development for the international business group and later became the group's manager of finance and operations. He returned to Tenneco Automotive in 1992 as director of the total quality management system and was subsequently named director of international business development where he led the company's entry into India with the establishment of a ride control joint venture in 1994.
Before joining Tenneco Mr. Nair was a senior financial analyst at General Motors Corporation and a plant manager for American Water Company.
Mr. Nair has a BS degree in Engineering from Bradley University and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Notre Dame. |
