Dr. Eggers is a recognized leader of the microelectronics industry and has had a distinguished career starting in 1979 with Siemens AG. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Memory Products Group at Infineon Technologies AG and as the CEO of Unaxis AG. Dr. Eggers has also served on the board-of-directors of several firms in Germany, the United States, China, Taiwan and Israel. He is an Advisory Board Member of the SEA-NET, Semiconductor Equipment Assessment for NanoElectronic Technologies EC/Brussels.
Currently, through his Industrial Consulting Company, Dr. Eggers supports the companies in start-up and consolidation phase and the economical and socially acceptable utilization of intellectual property. He focuses particularly on young enterprises in the high-tech industry, which he supports with his extensive leadership experience and, if necessary, start-up funding. Furthermore Dr. Eggers entered last year into the Advisory Panel of Climate Change Capital Private Equity Fund, a company based in London (UK) supporting nonpolluting technologies. Dr. Eggers studied physics at the Technical University and the University of Applied Sciences in Munich Germany. He received an Honorary Doctorate from the Technical University of Dresden in 2001 and the Order of Merit from the Free State of Saxony in 2004.
