Hans Bukow founded San Francisco-based eWork in 1999. eWork’s initial application was eWork Exchange, an online marketplace for outsourced internet-centric work services. Today eWork has evolved into a leading provider of strategies and solutions for contract workforce management. Recognized as a thought leader and innovator, Bukow draws upon his expertise in strategic business development, just-in-time manufacturing, process automation and supply chain management to passionately promote the benefits and tenets of contract labor optimization. Prior to eWork Exchange, Bukow was responsible for strategic business development at AOL's WorldPlay Entertainment. Bukow expanded the company's value proposition through e-commerce, international partnerships, developing programming distribution, and signing advertising and promotion partners. He architected the DirectPlay deal between AOL and Microsoft. Before taking the position at WorldPlay, Bukow spearheaded the sale of ImagiNation Network, which became WorldPlay, from AT&T to AOL. He also assisted in securing significant financing for AOL-Studios.Bukow founded FASTech Integration Inc., a Boston-based company which was recognized as an international leader in the client-server manufacturing execution software market especially in the semiconductor vertical. FASTech was one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. in 1993, listing 22 on Inc. magazine's 500 list. Bukow pioneered FASTech's business, and eventually ran its largest business unit. He also created and released four major generations of its products and services and developed all support and operations departments surround the companies operations.Bukow holds an honors BS in Engineering from Union College, and a Masters of Engineering from Purdue University. In addition, he began the MBA program at the University of Michigan and completed Inc.-MIT's program for Advanced Entrepreneurship. Bukow has lived in several countries and speaks multiple languages, including German, Portuguese and Spanish. |
