Hanno C. Fiedler was elected to Ball Corporation’s board of directors in December 2002. At the end of 2005 Mr. Fiedler retired as chairman and chief executive officer Ball Packaging Europe. He now serves as chairman of the Ball Packaging Europe Supervisory Board.
Mr. Fiedler joined Ball in 2002 with the acquisition of Schmalbach-Lubeca AG headquartered in Ratingen Germany. He had been chairman of the board and CEO of Schmalbach-Lubeca AG since 1996. Prior to that he had spent nearly 25 years at TRWIncorporated in various domestic and international roles in Germany the United States Great Britain France South and Eastern Europe and Asia. His responsibilities included vice president and general manager Europe TRW Steering and Suspension Systems Europe Düsseldorf Germany.
In addition to his directorships at Ball Corporation and Ball Packaging Europe Mr. Fiedler serves on the boards of Thyssen Krupp Stahl AG Duisberg; Pfleiderer AG Neumarkt; Pfleiderer Unternehmensverwaltung GmbH & Co. KG Neumarkt; Howaldtswerke Deutsche Werft AG Keil; and Dresdner Bank AG Düsseldorf
Born June 24 1945 Mr. Fiedler received his master’s degree in economics from Freie Universität Berlin in 1970 and an MBA from INSEAD Fontainebleau France in 1971. |
