Han Jansen has a degree in Business Economics and took part in the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He started his career as an assistant accountant after which he worked at Heineken as Manager Planning & Control and at Capi Lux as controller and division director.
In 1985 he was asked to set up Microland, a chain of computerstore franchises in the Netherlands, which two years later became his own enterprise through a management buy-out. The company grew rapidly and was subsequently sold to an automation company with a Stock listing.
In 1992 he became financial director with the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railroad Company) and contributed to establishing the company’s building and infrastructural activities as autonomous identities. Han managed a large-scale change management process which eventually resulted in the establishment of several new enterprises occupied with railroad building and maintenance.
Han Jansen then became Director of one of these new companies, Volker Stevin Rail & Traffic. He left the KVWS enterprise in 2002 in order to become Director of Hartman Group, a large international player in the area of outdoor furniture. In August 2003 Han decided to put his extensive management experience to use in the area of executive search and joined Interlace Executive Search.
As of October 2007, Han Jansen is Associate Partner with BJW Signium International. His hobbies are sailing, golf and he loves spending time in Spain where he owns a house. |
