Hal Wallach is Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Solutia Inc.
As the global leader of the Human Resources function, Hal is responsible for workforce planning, talent management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and staffing and recruiting, while continuing to drive and support Solutia’s high-performance culture.
Hal joined Solutia in 2007, after serving as Market Leader for Mercer Human Resources Consulting, one of the world’s largest human resources consulting firms. In that role, he was responsible for Mercer’s St. Louis office, where he served as a trusted advisor to executives at many of St. Louis’ top corporations, including Solutia.
Prior to joining Mercer, Hal held management positions with two other leading human resources consulting firms: Buck Consultants and Hewitt Inc. Hal began his career in public accounting and tax consulting.
Hal received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska. He is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. |
