Guru Ramakrishnan is President and CEO of Old Lane, a division of Citi Alternative Investments. He is a member of Citis Management Committee.
Prior to joining Citi, Guru was a founding partner of Old Lane, a $4 billion asset management firm based in New York. Guru spent 17 years prior to Old Lane at Morgan Stanley, where he was a Managing Director of the firm. During his tenure there, he ran Global Equity Trading and Global Derivatives, as well as Global Stock Lending and Prime Brokerage businesses. Guru was a member of the Equity Operating Committee, the firms New Product and Capital Commitment Committee, and served as President of Morgan Stanley Capital Services.
He currently serves on the Board of DGAM, a $2.5 billion fund of funds business based in Toronto.
Guru earned a BA in 1985 and an MA in 1986 from the University of Michigan, and an MBA in 1988 from the University of Chicago.
